Psychic Analysis of Objects II

Welcome back to my series of posts on psychic analysis of objects and energy fields! Please bear in mind that we each have our own inner configuration; the particular methods and sensations I describe may not be the same as your own. Think of the following exercises as invitations to consciously awaken your own abilities and to explore the the world in extrasensory ways. As you practice receptivity and sensitivity, you will learn (or further explore) how your own mind/body complex registers the subtle qualities of a place, person or thing. My own perceptions tend to come in the form of abstract bundles that blossom, when examined, into lucid and peopled descriptions, as though the object in question were a world unto itself - which it is. Some of us may hear musical tones, see non-manifest colors, or even hear names and words related the object’s nature.

I recommend beginning with your meditation practice (or yoga/sacred dance practice for those of us who are primarily kinesthetic). Those without a practice, or too impatient to play with psychic perception to bother with it, may sit quietly and focus on their deep breathing until the thinking mind feels neglected and goes off to eat cupcakes somewhere else.

Have in front of you some objects on which to experiment. I like to choose an array of things - crystals, feathers, a glass of water, a stone, something mundane like a pencil - but you may use anything you like. It can be fun to try this with fruits or foods, “magic” items, or medicines/herbs, but start with something simple and pleasant, like a flower or stone.

First we will pick up each object in our dominant hand and take a few breaths into our heart area. Feel the warmth of your heart, feel the love energy there in your chest. You may rock from side to side or stretch if it helps. Now imagine you are reaching out your heart like a tendril to hold the object with your heart. Just hold it, still breathing, Do this for each object. 

Quite probably all you will learn psychically is that you love each object, even it’s a old shoe. Love is the alchemical universal solvent. Both you and the object you hold are nothing but golden-white light. Your heart gives you a connection greater than kinship - oneness in fact - with all manifest creation. This is the fundamental truth of existence. But we will continue…

Now, keeping your heart open, breathe into your third eye - the center of your forehead. Breathe again, imagining you are moving that third eye back into the center of your brain, a quiet spark like a star. Your thoughts may switch off as you do this; it’s fine to sit in stillness for some time. 

Pick up your first object. You may have your eyes open or shut. The object has a central spark like you do. Mentally feel for that spot. Feel how the energy and qualities of the object radiate from that point like a mandala. Let yourself make note of these qualities, seeing the multicolored, multi textured web of them. Do the threads have an emotion - purring in heavy masculine contentment or frail but determined? What about a moral tone - is this object rather dull, not caring about much, or is the web dancing beautifully for the joy of the divine? Do the energy webs of the more mundane objects, like the pencil, feel less energetic, foggy, or even polluted?

Things like to have a purpose, even if it is beauty or love. Is the object happy? Or dull?

What is on or around the web? A mist of spirituality? Shoes often have a neon jangle of mixed energies picked up from the street, like radioactive mud. Are there beings living in the energy web? What do they look like? Objects from your altar may contain faeries and even devas - other objects are home to less appealing spirits. Invite visions into your mind’s eye.

You may wish to thank or send love to your objects and see how responsive they are! Indeed, all manifested creation is highly conscious. You may find many of your possessions - such as clothes and shoes - need to be energetically appreciated, activated, or even flat out exorcised or destroyed.
